Wanzl, a leading manufacturer of innovative products and solutions for the retail and industrial sectors, has set the goal of optimizing its product visualization, sales, and maintenance processes. To meet the high standards for product presentation and sales efficiency, Roomle was commissioned to develop several product configurators that support Wanzl's requirements for quality and flexibility.

Background

It was crucial for the Wanzl marketing team to present their complex, multi-variant products not only in a visually appealing way, but also efficiently and specifically online for business customers. The focus was on generating high-quality sales enquiries and optimising the sales process.

Wanzl placed particular emphasis on a guided sales solution that supports sales teams with a rule-based advice tool in order to reduce incorrect orders and make the sales process more efficient and customer-orientated. In addition, a scalable solution was required that would enable excellent product visualisation, simplify maintenance and seamlessly integrate future product developments.

Challenge

Wanzl faced the challenge of seamlessly integrating its strong focus on customisation in the B2B sector into the sales process. The visualisation and configuration of their rule-based, multi-variant products had to meet the high expectations of both customers and the sales teams in direct sales. At the same time, internal processes had to be designed efficiently. The aim was to convince customers of the product range online and to ensure that both customers and sales staff can initiate and receive correct enquiries and orders via the online channels.

Solution and Result

Wanzl has begun implementing its first product configurators and offers a user-friendly online "Guided Sales Solution." This allows B2B customers to access high-quality product visualization while ensuring that only correct, rule-based product combinations are possible. The 3D configurators actively generate qualified product inquiries and serve as an efficient consulting and visualization tool for sales teams, helping scale the sale of complex, customizable products while reducing errors.
