Interview:

Freya, what motivated FRAMA to choose the Rubens Configurator for visualizing your Shelf Library?

We chose the Rubens Configurator because we wanted to offer a more intuitive and visually engaging experience for our customers. Our previous configurator just wasn’t as user-friendly—it often caused confusion, especially for a complex product like the Shelf Library. It also didn’t offer the level of visual clarity we were aiming for, and on top of that, customers had to add each item to their cart individually, which made the process inefficient.

We saw the potential in the Rubens Configurator to solve these issues by providing a seamless, visually-driven solution. Since launching it about two and a half months ago, we've integrated it across four storefronts for both B2B and B2C customers, and the feedback has been fantastic. The configurator makes the entire process smoother and enhances the shopping experience in a way that really aligns with our vision. It’s been a game-changer for us.

How do your customers respond to the ability to configure products in 3D and view them in their own space using augmented reality (AR)?

The response has been really positive! Our B2B customers, in particular, love the high-quality visualization, especially on desktop, where the interface is super intuitive. While mobile use is still a bit trickier, the augmented reality (AR) feature has been a huge hit. It really helps customers see how the product will look in their space, making the decision-making process so much easier.
Another big win has been the impact on customer service. When customers reach out via chat, our support team can instantly pull up their exact configurations, which makes problem-solving and communication much more efficient.

How would you rate the cooperation and services of Roomle?

Working with Roomle has been a great experience. Communication has been smooth and responsive throughout the entire project. The Service Desk is always quick to provide answers, which has been really helpful.

The project implementation itself went really well. The collaboration was super cooperative, and the integration process was seamless. Using Jira gave us a great overview of everything and kept the workflow structured and organized. Overall, we were really impressed with how efficiently everything came together—the professionalism of the Roomle team made the whole process a success from start to finish.

How has incorporating a 3D configurator influenced your product portfolio and offerings?

The 3D configurator has had a big impact on how we present our products. It’s made it so much easier for customers to explore and personalize our Shelf Library system, and it really highlights the versatility of our products in a way we couldn’t before.

From a business perspective, the investment in the configurator is already paying off—we’re seeing the costs quickly amortized. And as we continue to refine it and gather more insights from customers, we’re confident it’ll bring even more value, both for our brand and for the people using it.

Thank you for the interview!
